And here is your theme music…

Yesterday I was talking to a friend and I began to lament the fact that Jazz, Soul, RnB, and the Blues are so rarely used when the choice comes to scoring films. And a search that lead someone to me blog was about Jazz and Swing music, so I’m going to present a list of my favorite films that use all types of Jazz as their score in lieu of classical music. I will stay away from documentaries however, that will be for another entry.

  1. The Man with the Golden Arm
  2. Anatomy of a Murder
  3. Elevator to the Gallows
  4. Sweet Smell of Success
  5. Shadows
  6. The Cool World
  7. The Triplets of Belleville
  8. Paris Blues
  9. Symbiopsychotaxiplasm
  10. Young Man with a Horn
